New man at the Port of Tyne09 Aug 2010
The Port of Tyne has appointed Andy Foulds as Commercial Director, Port Services with effect from 2nd August 2010. Andy will report to Steven Harrison, Chief Operating Officer.
Steven Harrison, the port's Chief Operating Officer says "We are delighted that Andy has joined the team. Andy's strong track record of delivering profitable growth, together with his wide ranging global trading experience complements our aim of taking advantage of the wealth of new business opportunities."
As Commercial Director, Port Services, Andy Foulds will be responsible for commercial and business development within three of the port's five business areas: bulk & conventional cargo, car terminals, and cruise & ferries.
A former General Manager with Maersk Line and a graduate of the University of Kent, Andy's eighteen year career has taken him to work on four continents, covering all global trades with an industry leader in the maritime sector. He joins the port from Safmarine, a subsidiary of A P Moller Maersk, where he was Asia Regional Line Director (Singapore).
