On Sunday, August 29, with the support of main sponsors The Port of Tyne and the Northern Rock, the ducks are returning but instead of the traditional yellow with which we are all familiar, the Tyne will be covered with a carpet of bright pink ducks.

Steven Harrison Chief Operating Officer Port of Tyne says “The Port of Tyne has been successful in attracting some of the world’s leading cruise lines, including P&O. In addition we are also working with one of the world’s largest cruise lines, Holland America Line and 2010 sees a first visit from the Westerdam carrying over 2,000 passengers to the region on 12 August”.

The Port of Tyne has appointed Andy Foulds as Commercial Director, Port Services with effect from 2nd August 2010. Andy will report to Steven Harrison, Chief Operating Officer.
