The People The Places The Environment ReflectYouthPhotographs

The Port of Tyne Reflect photography competition is open to everyone and prizes include £500 plus the chance to exhibit in the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Reflect is growing in popularity year on year and offers a fantastic opportunity for something really inspiring in the North East, so don't miss your chance to get involved.

How does North East England make you feel?
What does it mean to you?

These were the questions put to photographers last year for the Port of Tyne's third annual Reflect Awards, a photography competition launched in 2007 to promote the creativity and vibrancy of the people of North East England.

While Reflect 2007 and 2008 focused solely on the river Tyne, 2009 Reflect was broadened to take in the whole of North East England, from the Border region right down to the tip of North Yorkshire. As a result, over 3,000 stupendous entries were received giving the panel of judges an extremely difficult time in choosing the winners. 2009 also saw the introduction of ReflectYouth, created to encourage entries from under-16's.

Visit www.reflect-tyne.com to find out more on how to enter Reflect, find out who the judges are and look at the entries from last year.

The competition closes at midnight 1st September 2010 so there is still plenty of time to start clicking.
