Neil Mundy
Board Member
Neil Mundy has a background in the public and private sectors with professional training in accountancy, property rating and valuation and economic development. His more recent positions include five years as an executive director with ONE NorthEast, group finance director of the DCWM Group and until 1998 director of finance and deputy chief executive of Tyne and Wear Development Corporation. Prior to this he was a senior consultant with KPMG.
He is Chairman of the UK Microsystems and Nanotechnology Network which includes all regions and which has recently been asked by Government to co-ordinate the investment of £100 million in new facilities and applied research throughout the UK.
He is a non-executive director and Chairman of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust’s audit committee, a trustee for Age Concern and a parish councillor. He has business interests in property, retailing and economic management consulting.
Neil was appointed a member of the Port of Tyne in July 2004.
