The Port of Tyne has a commitment to the region and dedication to the local community reflected through active sponsorship, investment and participation in life-enhancing and entrepreneurial initiatives which include the Port of Tyne Reflect Awards.
The Port of Tyne has an underlying and long standing commitment for engaging in initiatives that support the local community by making a positive impact on society based upon the belief that business can be both commercial and responsible.
The Port's own charitable fund, the Port of Tyne Fund, supports community development activities, while partnerships have been developed with local authorities, the Creative Partnerships network and the regional development agency, ONE North East.
Tapping into the creative pulse of the region, in 2007 the Port of Tyne launched its annual region-wide photography awards, the Port of Tyne Reflect Awards, and is proud of the fact that two winners are now running their own businesses.
